I have my Apilus set at 0.8s, 34% HF, using the largest needle I can fit into the follicle and make a good insertion (pro-tec size 4 on legs, size 3 on arms.) At these settings, the hairs come out of the front of my legs perfectly, they just lift out and the anagen hairs have huge root sheaths and bulbs all intact.
I tried these settings on my forearm and thighs, but the hairs don’t come out without tugging a bit. The hair breaks or the bulbs fall off (and can be picked out from just under the skin) as I am lifting the hair out.
Assuming my insertions are good, and the depth is correct (inserting to anagen depth like the Bono book described), what is the best tactic to take with these stubborn hairs? I tried turning the HF up higher, using less power and more pulses, and varying my insertions with the same results.
