the Hinkel Lectures

I’m finishing up the first of the “Hinkel Lectures.” This one is on electricity (magnetism). Big project that requires a ton of editing (from old tapes, ugh!). Nicely, I have “Audition” … I just wish I knew the whole program (maybe I’ll take a class?)

So, the request: I want to put random photos of electrologists working and photos of schools … (it’s a video, so we have to look at something). If any of you have any to share, please sent them on to me.

So, whatever the response to this video; I’ll either continue on … or maybe put the project on the shelf. There are probably 30-hours of lectures. I think it would be great for students to hear Hinkel himself.

I also have a tape of Christine Jorgensen … this one for sure! Microphones and tape-decks of the time were pretty bad.

I might have a few short video clips of me working, but my video setup is horrible and I think in the last set I did the tripod fell over twice due to not being able to both video, and also do the electrolysis. It would require some serious editing and I dont think it would be useful. It’s also filmed through a 3.5 x circle lamp.Other than that the only videoing Ive done is the tweezerless electrolysis cli which I deleted for reasons you are aware of and I dont think I have a copy of anymore.

I could however try and capture a couple stills of short clips this week if you’d like?
