I am looking for the machine that gives the best result for at home use. Please help me find the great machine. I need to buy online because i am from Puerto Rico.
The best machine that one can use at home would be the best machine one could use period. That would put it in the top of the professional machines. But in reality, it boils down to what you really want the machine to do modality wise. A lot depends on the skill of the person performing the electrolysis. A good professional can get excellent results while using even older technology, whereas someone can use the most expensive machine in existence and still not kill hairs and cause permanent scars. Skill is the greatest determining factor in hair removal. With that being said, there are some modalities that are more forgiving skill wise, that being Galvanic and Blend. Galvanic is slow and works by chemical action converting moisture in the skin to Lye. Blend applies a little heat to allow the lye to get into spaces better. But you still must be able to get a probe into a hair follicle. Thus some form of magnification is mandatory in my opinion. The modalities that require the most precision are Thermolysis and Flash. Care needs to be used with these modalities, as the chances of permanent scars and wasted time is more likely, because they require careful placement of the probe tips at the base of the hair follicle.
Machines marketed for home use, are poorly made pieces of junk in my opinion. A homemade epilator using professional probes is a very economical means of getting something cheap. To purchase a cheap professional unit would be a vast improvement however. But still I must emphasize that knowing what you are doing is probably the greatest factor in having success. You will need to spend time learning by reading books and practicing on easy areas like arms before progressing to other body areas. Plan to invest a large amount of time in this endeavor if you choose.
I would recommend learning about electrolysis as least some before even considering purchase of an electrolysis machine so that you will know what it is that you are after.
There are some people who go out and buy up lots of machines but spend little time on learning skills and wonder why they cannot buy a machine that works for them. I talked on the phone to one gal who has purchased over 11 machines, but still is just a novice when it comes to electrology. Please consider learning about what Electrology is and how it works before even considering what machine to purchase.
I totally agree with you. It is unfortunate that so many people hear that kind of advise and think, “Yeah, but that book you are telling me to buy and read costs $70.00 and this scam device I saw online costs only $40. I am not paying more for the book than for the machine. You so called pro’s are just trying to scare people and make them spend more money.”
