Terrible reaction on the back of my neck!!

I have gone for three sessions now for laser hair removal and each time the skin on my neck reacts HORRIBLY. I get tons little bumps but worst of all I get these hard, whitehead-like bumps that sting. They take 2-3 weeks to go way and look horrible. I told them about this and they reduced the amount of power in my last visit, but still these big, hard bumps appeared 4 days after my last session.

I tried taking advil and antihistemine before the treatment, iced liek crazy after, continuously put aloe gel after, but still these bumps appear. ANyone know what is going on?

How come there is so much (long) hair in the area? How long after LHR were the photos taken?

This is normal UNLESS there are actual scabs (not tiny pinprick scabs).

Folliculitis is VERY common on the back of the neck since there are oils and sweat coming in contact with the treated area.

Because the hairs are deep/dense/coarse expect swelling, puffiness, redness and pain for couple days. This should stop or lessen after 4 or 5 treatments.

Keep area clean for 48 hours after the treatment. Do not touch it with unwashed hands. Try not to use hair products. Don’t pick at them or they may spread or scar.

To rid yourself of the pimples use witch hazel, pure aloe gel and tea tree oil OR clean area with skin cleanser then apply polysporin until they are gone. If the infection gets out of control, see a dr they will prescribe you antibiotics.

Are the hairs long because they are in the shedding process?

Is it just me or has anyone else experienced sleazy pictures whilst viewing the pictures above. dubious offers from HounsLOW

Ok ya I just clicked on the pic link and yes I see those awful pics too. The girl is like 12! The free hosting site must be spammy??? Not sure how those hosting sites work?

I don’t know what you are paying for this “situation.” But were you an electrolysis client, with this neck to be cleared, I would give you the following estimate: About 7 - 8 hours for total removal. The cost would be about $500 and were it to exceed $650, all following treatments would be free. I would like to know what this thing is costing you, and do they guarantee permanent results? Electrologists guarantee their results … especially on such an easy area as the back of the neck.

But then, LASER sounds so much sexier!

Thanks for your replies - sorry taht I just saw this. That picture was taken about 2 weeks after the laser treatment. They usually take about 5 days to appear. We tried reducing the settings to b15 this time around and still the same results.

They last for a long time and are painful.

I just did another session on Friday and ended up with this today.

Ended up with what?

Hi follizap, yes, my screen also went to sleazy pictures with the above link.

I’m a bit confused about those photos. If it’s 2 weeks after the treatment, why is the hair there? Is the area shaved prior to treatment? It should be shedding at that point.

Also the hair looks like light-colored for laser. Do you actually have any coarse dark hair growth? If not, laser is not a good solution for you.
