stomach stubble? I have really stubborn thick coarse hair on my belly and even when I shave, it’s a mess. There are ingrown hairs, red marks, and horrible stubble. Are there any products that can remove coarse hair and leave a smooth surface? I’ve been doing laser and electrolysis for a while, and will have to stop treatment for accutane. Even with a new razor, the evidence of coarse hair is still there. What methods produce the smoothest results?
You should keep with the electrolysis for that area. Taking the accutane will only cause the treatment to possibly be more painful, and you will need to practice excellent post treatment care.

How long have you been having treatment for? you must stay positive and be consistant, it WILL go but takes time and patience.
Have you tried waxing? While on Accutane, that’s the only way to get rid of hair without stubble.
You should allocate 12 months to consistent electrolysis treatments once you are ready to get rid of this hair forever.
No waxing while on Accutane. No depilatories. Even shaving can be very irritating while on Accutane. When you begin Accutane, you will be given a guide on Accutane. iPLEDGE REMS
If it were me, I wouldn’t even do electrolysis until I finished the Accutane. Facial hair, I probaly would do the most noticeable ones, but for abdomen hairs, I (and I’m speaking for just myself) would wait. The Accutane will help with the ingrown problem while you are on it.
I agree with Choice’s comments.
I have performed electrolysis on Accutane clients. One needs an epilator where the current(s) and timing can be controlled closely, quality magnification to observe closely any slight skin changes and the use of insulated probes is required. THe client is more sensitive to the sensation, but all in all, it’s still tolerable. Long-term and short-term there are no problems. This is an area where the electrologist makes the call due to her/his comfort level, but it can be done.
