Tattoo's

I have a question…
What affect, if any, does laser hair removal have on tattoo’s.

One tech told me it the tattoo may lighten over time, another one said she wouldn’t even treat over the tattoo? Why?

Laser will cause a 3rd degree burn if it is done on a tattoo. It happened to me about 7 years ago, and I have about a dozen perfectly round scars on a tattoo on my stomach. I thought it was just normal for Laser to hurt that much, and let them get off about a dozen shots before I felt like I was on fire, and had to restrain myself from physically stopping them instead of verbally. I guess I was the first person who they treated who had a tattoo. Lucky me, I can’t begin to tell you how much it hurt. These days, anyone doing Laser that isn’t fully aware of the consequenses of this should be completely avoided - and give them a good kick in the shins for me before you take your business elsewhere.

Thanks Redhead.
I have had my 2 tattoo’s treated prior but they turn the setting down ( I think 10/100). I haven’t had any problems. I just don’t want an area of hair where no other hairs are.

At some point I am going to get 1 maybe 2 treatments on my chest and stomach with the Aurora, and I am planning on getting Electrolysis on the tattoo to match the treated areas.
