Targeting Individual Hairs

Quick question…

I have a few random hairs on my back that have always bothered me. They are dark and coarse.

I realize that electrolysis would make more sense to remove these hairs, but I was thinking of trying to get their removal thrown in for free in a laser package deal.

Would a technician be able to target these one-off hairs with, say, a GentleLASE?

Due to the potential for LASER induced stimulation of NEW hairs, I am not sure the operator would wish to risk it, and not sure that you should take the gamble if the practitioner were willing.

If it is so few hairs, why not pay for electrolysis. What you describe would cost what ever their minimum treatment price may be.

My hope was to get their removal thrown into a package laser deal instead of taking the additional time and money to have electrolysis done.

However, based on your opinion, I will refrain from doing this. Maybe I will look into electrolysis in the future.

Thanks for your time!

I wouldn’t do this as laser can’t target just one hair. It will inevitably touch the areas around that hair and that can stimulate more growth. It’s not worth the risk in my opinion.

Thank you for the confirmation on this, LAgirl. Both of your responses make perfect sense.
