Tanning after electrolysis

I am doing electrolysis on my legs, and will be going to vacation that involves pool and tanning. Is it okay to have a treatment 10 days before the tanning? Or should I better wait and do it after I return? if so, can electrolysis be done on tanned skin? Nothing extreme but still there will be a lot of sun and want to take all the pre cautions if necessary! thanks so much

It is fine to tan before electrolysis, just don’t come with a first degree burn. Electrolysis can be performed on tanned skin, but is a no-no for laser reduction.

On a cautionary note and my two cents, with all the skin cancers that dermatologists see these days, I’m with them - protect your skin from the sun by not tanning. They go nuts with all these people abusing their skin. Just get your 10-20 minutes of sunshine dose daily to increase your vitamin D level. That should be safe enough in regard to sunshine.
