Surviving my first electrolysis marathon! (PHOTOS)

It actually was not that bad! A 4-hour long electrolysis was well worth it to me!

I’ve had electrolysis several times in the past so the pain tolerance was very bearable.

My skin was red and a little swollen from all the removal she had to do. Yes I had a lady beard going there for several years!

I still have scars from the years of abuse I was doing to my skin but now that the hair is being treated, I know it will go away within time.

I have a photo for you all to view here on my blog of my skin AFTER the treatment

It really is a great method for removing hair. Even better if you can find someone to clear everything (within reason) in one session!

Congrats! You’ll love how much confidence you get back with electrolysis, looking forward to further updates from you

Giddy up, girl! Glad you made the decision to start finally.

How wonderful that you found someone who will work to clear your neck ASAP. I like to get that first, full clearances quickly. It gives the client hope and it does move the process along. For most cases like yours, I have seen that it takes anywhere from 12 to 20 clearances to reach the end, spread out over 18 - 20 months.

What aftercare are you doing?

I like how you’re blogging. The Hirsutism Hub is a perfect name!

Thanks! I’m trying to make it so that it’s the go-to website for unwanted hair!

I use turmeric paste to wash my face and I try to follow up with a little mild soap. Turmeric actually reduced my facial hair. I guess some of that al naturale stuff people scream about works from time to time! I do not have a huge aftercare regimen. My skin returned to normal after a few days.

Great blog, hope you don’t mind me sharing it on social media.
So good you are willing to be open about your unwanted hair, it will definitely resonate with many woman.

Are you kidding me?! I WANT you to share my blog! I truly do want women to know they are not alone with their hormonal challenges.

So, where do you get tumeric paste?

I love adding tumeric to most things I eat. It has great anti inflammatory properties.

I found a USDA organic turmeric product in my local grocery store. It’s pretty well stocked everywhere I’ve looked.

Do you purchased the spice, tumeric, add sterile water and make a paste? Is there a specific brand name called tumeric paste that is already made that comes in a jar or a tube? I think many readers are curious to know more specifics about tumeric paste if you are amenable to sharing that.

I used a brand called “Simply Organics.” I plan to make the mask I use in a YouTube video.
