surgery long after treatments

Hi,

I wanted to ask, since I’m going through front torso electrolysis(I only want like 60% of the hair gone) I also plan on getting gynecomastia surgery in the future. But since that area on the chest was treated with electrolysis how long should wait before surgery is done? I’m concerned about pigmentation issues as I’ve heard this has a small chance side effect of this surgery and I’m thinking about how long electro has to heal first…

Hope you can help. thanks in advance.

Your surgeon should be the one to tell you how long between treatments, surgery, and then treatments.

I can’t yet because the consultation has a long wait. I suppose I could try sending emails but I was hoping I could get some early answers from here.

I get the feeling that there will be a LOT of time in between though. Both take a long time to heal completely…

In general, there would be no reason to believe that you would need anything more than 6 weeks. My clients are typically back to normal in 72 hours outside of the 3rd clearance.

Well the technician I’m going to I still see redness and healing few months after(Although yeah i’d say I’m alright after 6 weeks) and she says that it takes 6 to 8 months to get back to 100%. I just don’t know if surgery will be ok during the later healing process.

Electrolysis is a low impact procedure. The time interval after a session should not be need to be several months, but the surgeon always has the last word. Who knows? She or he may decide to call the electrologist for guidance.
