Success! 5TX with GentleLase 10Yrs Later:NO CHANGE

Firstly, great to see this forum still going for so long.

Secondly, no requests for uploading pics sorry. As I intimated in my original post, a bad experience on this site from my series of photos pre- and post-treatment pics which were used elsewhere without my permission and knowledge was unsettling. If you want to see the pics you will have to go the clinic I had my LHR removal done at all those years ago (where they are used)in beautiful sunny Sydney.

Thirdly, I have no idea of the technology for LHR has changed markedly in the last decade when I had it done, but it appears not. Good luck to those still on their journey.

Finally, many thanks to the admins and founders of this site. When I began this journey I relied heavily on user experiences here, particularly “LAgirl” and a few other names I still recognise from many moons ago.

Anyway…

[color:#FF0000]So, over a decade now since I completed my treatments. Regrowth has not occurred - I am almost exactly the same hair coverage as 10 years ago post-treatment. That is, approximately 90% of my original chest and abdominal hair has gone and has not come back. I’m sure you would love to see pics, but as per the aformentioned, you will just have to take my word for it! The only that has changed is that my waistline has expanded!

One of the best things (and investments) I ever did - amazing how the cost seems so peripheral and irrelevant all these years later.

Thanks for a very uplifting read! It’s good to hear a success story among all the worries here

Do you mind describing what your hair pattern looks like now? Do you have a “natural” looking even sparse growth on chest and stomach? Or just a few hairs here and there? Or a “trail”? I’m just curious what it looks like and how natural a look can be achieved with laser.

It says in that post that you are/were 38. Was that at the conclusion of the treatment? I’m wondering because I’m thinking that at that age you probably were “done” with most growth that comes with age. I had laser done from age 23-25 and the results were disappointing but I’m suspecting that my hormones and age were more to blame than the place that AFAIK did everything right.

Hugs to you ESG for updating after 10 years!!! Fantastic!!

Hi joheu

My hair pattern is effectively exactly the same as 10 years ago. After my final treatment, what little growth came back was very scattered, notably around my pecs, with a diffuse and broken line down the centre of my abdomen with a hair here and there distributed unevenly! You can see the sparse hairs on my chest from a metre away but once further away they are very difficult to see - as I stated, less than 10% regrowth.

Yes, 38yo at conclusion of treatment.

PS - I notice the clinic I used has now transitioned to the Palomar Vectus Laser which is several times faster than the
Candela Alexandrite I used. video here:
