stimulated growth a risk or no?

i have type iii skin i believe and dark hair. i’m looking to get my (male) face done. so obviously the hair is pretty thick.

i’m looking at a clinic that says they use an apogee elite laser so that seems good from what i’ve read. but it almost seems too cheap… idk if my face will qualify, but on groupon it says 165 for 3 treatments, large area… could it be a scam?

anyway hopefully someone can give me an answer about the stimulated regrowth, i’m not too worried from what i’ve read but just wanted to check for sure.

The stimulated regrowth depends on each person you Know. It depends also on the laser used… If the treatment is affordable, you could test this laser and after some weeks, you Will see.
Good luck

i thought it would take longer to find out? like a year? honestly i just don’t want to wait that long. trying to get a feel of my risks and if i am at high risk or not.

my skin does have a very slight olive tint… the laser is a cynosure apogee elite

I’ve never seen a single case where a male has had induced growth on the face – only women experience growth here.

The laser itself is good. HOWEVER, it’s very rare for a groupon place to pump the settings high enough for a really good treatment. You would be better off going to more reputable clinic (or even a dermatologist’s office which is what I do) instead of going the cheap groupon way

yes, but the price difference is just insane… maybe i can go in for a consultation and ask them what settings the use? i think they are known off groupon as well, they have reviews and stuff…

It’s more than just the settings… you need to make sure they don’t miss areas and thus leave you with streaks of hair over your face. The face is more prone to that and it’s much more noticeable than say if you did your legs. They need to overlap properly and cover every area (which it;s harder to overlap on the apogee elite than a candela laser just because the apogee elite glides)

but wouldn’t i just need more treatments if that happened? other places are very costly, like twice as much, so i might just take my chances.

i read a lot of reviews, some of which had good information. someone said they were able to get the tech to raise the settings on the laser.
