Sterex SX-B Questions

I am interested in purchasing one of these epilators and see them frequently on Ebay for good prices. I live in the United States and had a question regarding the plug on these for the wall outlet. Will this work via an adaptor to plug into a US wall outlet? Is the plug hard wired into the back of the epilator or is it like a plug or an AC adaptor that unplugs from the back of the epilator?

Also is the unit made for 110 voltage or 220-240?

Thanks, Annmarie.

A simple travel adapter would solve the problem if the machines were hard wired with no removable plug.

I highly doubt that they have dual voltage, as that is something very few electrolysis machines have. I am not sure that anyone other than Apilus is currently offering that as standard equipment. It can, however be added to a machine after the fact.

Thanks for getting back to me. I’m checking all options. My electrologist uses an Apilus Platinum Pure and I’ve had great results with it. The Sterex is in my price range for a new machine but I’ve seen some used Apilus machines available for within my budget as well. Decisions decisions.

Do I really have to say that I would go with the used Apilus over any entry level foreign current Sterex?

Thanks for the Help James.
