spring break and laser schedule?!

I had my last laser session on back shoulders and arms on december 16th. This was my second treatment. I have been waiting 8 weeks between treatments. My next treatment was supposed to be on february 9th making it exactly 8 weeks. However, I am going on vacation on the 18th of february! The problem is I get bad irritaion and whiteheads from laser which looks disgusting, and this takes just over 2 weeks to clear up for me. So I will have to push back my appointment to 6 and a half weeks MAX 7 weeks since my last. Is this very bad will it not give me results as a wasted session? Will it mess up my schedule and hair growth? or will everything go fine as long as I wait at least 8 weeks till my next one?

As well I will end up being very tanned. But this shouldnt be an issue since ill have over 5-6 weeks when I return to lighten up correct?

(incase you dont follow this means im going 6 1/2 weeks in between sessions as opposed to 8)

Six and a half weeks is to soon. I’d wait for 8-10 weeks, but you could ask your practitioner and see what they think. I would also advise you not to tan. You want your skin to be a s pale as possible and who knows if it will be back to a true pale in 5-6 weeks.

i know this but like i said i am going away so what are my best options? No matter what i will get tanned so I am going to wait as long as needed when I return before my next session so the tanning wont be a problem because I will be pale after 6 weeks hell I can even wait 8 weeks after I get back. Will 6 1/2 weeks not do anything as far as removing hair?

It might hit some that are in the growing stage, but peak time would be later than 6.5 weeks as stated before.

thank you :). and when I come back it wont hurt if I wait say another 8-10 weeks for my tan to fade back to pale? Like waiting 12-14 weeks between sessions wont hurt either?

I would try to get a STRONG TREATMENT before you go away on Spring Break.

how can i make my treatment stronger? what do you mean? my settings are already 20j/18mm on a candela gentlelase. can that go stronger?

No, 20 joules is the maximum you can go with an 18m spot size.

30 joules would be the power for a 15mm spot size.

Did you read lagirls laser faq’s page at the top of the laser forum yet?

so would it be better to ask to switch to that? she told me she had me on the highest setting. Is 30j/15mm a better option for me? skin type 3 dark course hair on 3rd session coming up.

also is it okay if I wait 14 weeks between sessions to let my tan fade back to pale?

20 at 18 is the better choice and your practitioner thinks so as well, since this is what she used before. You should discuss and get input about the timing and tanning concerns with your clinic.

great well thats good that my settings are okay  does it matter waiting 14 weeks between treatments? is there such thing as waiting too long? i want to wait till my tan completely fades.

Waiting 14 weeks may be OK, however your practisioner can give you THE BEST ANSWER.
