Spacing of Sessions

What is the optimal spacing between sessions for facial/chin hair?

I realize some of this may depend on how much hair there is to begin with - so let’s go with a moderate amount for a perimenopausal female (more than a few, not a beard)

My electrologist was initially suggesting weekly appointments, which I could not afford at $115/hour…then she went to suggesting every other week. (This was multi needle galvanic, but now considering switching to thermolysis)

Thanks, BFG

With electrolysis, it really does not matter. Even ever three weeks or every month is fine, if she can clear most of the hairs present in ever session.

Obviously, if you can’t clear much every time you go, you may want to go more often.

Electrolysis and Laser are not the same.

^Something like that. Just get to your first clearance as soon as possible. The time and money you invest upfront will pay back manifold in reduced time to completion. Many women do prefer weekly or biweekly appointments for the face, for aesthetic reasons, but it’s not required for permanent removal, as long as you don’t tweeze in the interim.

Regarding thermolysis, it does go faster, but the electrologist skill is still much more important than the method they use.

Pretty much. My fried who I keep referring to in posts start off going every week and now goes every 2-3 weeks. That’s quite normal.

Another friend started her eyebrows at the end of Dec. Prior to that, I made her grow them out for almost 3 months. So when she started, she invested more time, twice weekly, to get cleared asap. Then she didn’t need another session for ages.

Electrolysis is quite flexible to be honest.

My electrologist told me that as long as you get cleared at least once every three months then you’re fine. My electrologist is an hour and a half away so I don’t go nearly as often as most of her clients. I go about every 2-3 weeks usually.
