Hi I am having laser hair removal treatment for my legs the clinic i am at were first using the ipl alma harmony machine but now hav a new soprano xl laser which they say is alot better i have had 4 treatments so far spaced at 6-8 weeks apart the hair has got less but still more on the thighs which is taking longer to disappear. I have now decided to have my full arms done too and had a look at the settings they were using with me fluence 7 energy 5 and pulse was something like 15439 i think… is anyone else havng treatment from this laser and wat is ur feedback i dont want to be paying extra money so they can use lower settings and give more treatments… please reply if u can advise or tell about ur experience i will try and post pics if i can thanks
There is a lot of negativity posted here about this device. Go to the search feature on this page and type in ‘soprano’ and read, read, read. Be wary of the posters that have less than five posts as they may have registered to promote the laser or IPL at their place of business. You never see any follow up a year later after they say they love this laser a week after treatment.
Are you in contract with an ALC by chance?
Did you read the laser faq’s? Please do that now. OKAY??

Hi thanks for reply what does alc stand for… im not in contract with anything. I am paying per session for treatments 300 pounds for full legs and 100 for full arms. with the ipl my results were patchy i did see shedding but patchy this new machine was totally pain free did not hurt just felt warm very very slighty infact could hardly even tell has been about 5 weeks since then and i can see shedding hair free most of the lower part of legs but not the same result on the upper legs hair has got finer though.
ALC - American Laser Centers. Sounds like you are from the UK, so forget it. If you don’t put your location in your profile, I can only take guesses.
Thighs don’t respond as well as the lower legs to light-based systems. You can make some conclusions about effectiveness about a year from now. Five weeks tells you very little about long term efficacy.

Hi I read the laser faq page and it does give u alot of advice thanks lagirl. yeah i am from the uk the tech decided to do the the underarms for free when they got this new machine
