Soprano XL and Vaniqa (eflornithine)

Hi:

I'm wondering if the use of Vaniqa can improve the result of laser treatments? I'm using Soprano XL.

Also I’d like to know, how many weeks are the best between treatments, in the case of Soprano XL.

All Vaniqa does is slow down growth. Using it while getting permanent removal is useless and counterproductive. You should be seeing all hair shed after each treatment and going in for your next treatment once new hair comes in.

This isn’t the best machine btw.

What area are you treating? Please read our FAQs at the link below. Treatment spacing depends on the area, but is generally every 8-12 weeks for most. However, you should be able to see clearly when you need another treatment, i.e. when you have enough hair again to treat after shedding.

Hi LAGirl, thanks for your reply.

Well, I’m a transgender girl. Unfortunately my face hairs aren’t black. They are a mix of black, brown, red and some blonde. I’ve had tried a lot of lasers and the only one I’ve got results is with the Soprano XL. Despite I can see a big improvement especially on my cheeks, on the mustache and chin zone its very slow. So I wanted to make it a little bit faster doing something else, but it seems there is nothing else to do. Just to be patient. :frowning:

You really can’t tell if you’re getting good results unless you stop treatments for at least 6 months.

Black and brown hair is fine for laser. Red and blonde won’t be affected by any machine no matter what they claim.

If you’re getting results, they’ll be significant right away. It shouldn’t be taking forever. You should at least be getting FULL SHEDDING after each treatment. If this isn’t happening, you’re not getting results.
