Welcome to hairtell, riffi.

If you google ‘One Touch hair removal’ you will see many choices as to where to buy. I’m sure you can purchase this in the United Kingdom. If you purchase a One Touch from the U.S. then you may have to pay import fees, making it more expensive.

Have you carefully read all the information about doing it yourself here on hairtell? It can be very difficult to do this on yourself, not to mention frustrating, but some people are really adept after much practice. The apparatus itself is fragile and is not meant for long term use.

Where in Europe do you reside? Are there any trained electrologists that can help you out, especially for any facial electrolysis needs?

Thanks,

Dee

thanks defahey thank u so much for replying i am from belgium dear i had already tried here in the hospital for electrolysis but the docter she is cheater she did most of the hear with tweezer to let the patient come for long time i am vry disapointed some other also experiesed the same. And do you know after that i had laser for four times and now its year that i left laser now i have more hairs then before for using no problem even i know how to use prof machine back home in pakistan i know a vry good and sencire docter but problem is this that i will go to pak in december 2007 and then i think i get rid of these hairs for one year i do not know what to do plucking out hairs is not good yes i have from home elctrolysis from babyliss but it does not go into the skin.hope u under stand the whole situation.

So you had electrolysis, but it was more like plucking and after four laser treatments, you say you had more hair than when you started. I don’t know all the variables that were a part of these unsuccessful electrolysis and laser attempts, but if one thing is out of place in this whole scheme of permanent hair removal, then you will not see success. Things such as timing of sessions, equipment used, operator skill, your medical internal environment are examples of things that may hold you back.

Plucking is not good as you stated. I think I’m understanding that there is someone good in Pakistan that you would trust to do electrolysis but, you will not be back in Pak until this time next year to even start treatments.

Would you consider shaving with an electric shaver until then? I would hate for you to spend your money on a One Touch only because there is a high chance that you would not be able to safely perform electrolysis on yourself for facial hair relief. Too risky.

What area(s) do you need help for? How many electrologists are there in your locale where you live in Belgium?

Thanks riffi,

Dee

There are a couple of different “flavors” of the One Touch. Some have a bell/buzzer device built in. Some are the “deluxe” units that just add some low quality tweezers. If you do a Google search on “One Touch” hair removal, then you’ll find various suppliers.

The One Touch comes with a fairly large diameter probe that is also very bendable. When it bends, you need to straighten it out to use it again. It’s life usually depends on how many times you bent it and how satisfied you are in using a squiggly probe. The probes are much more expensive to replace than if you were using professional probes.

Because of the frailty and thickness of the probes, they are not the best to use on the face. Also, for someone learning to do electrolysis, practicing and learning on the face is a very bad idea. You could produce scars that are more hideous than the original hair.

If you have minor assembly skills, you could assemble your own electrolysis unit for not much more than a One Touch. The parts required are listed at http://www.geocities.com/hairfreethere/

Normally, the best recommendation for the face is to see a pro. There may be others in your area that are better than the unfortunate one you visited.
