Some fuzz on my face!

Hi everyone!

I´m suffering a lot of fuzzy hair alll over my face and going to have some electrolosys soon in order to get rid of it! I’m so depressed because of it and I would like to know if it is some way that it could get worst as I’ve been reading in some post!
Some of you guys have experienced some regrowth coarser and thiker if the electrolosys hasn’t done properly which I just could not stand due to my life is already ruined for my facial hair!
I was wandering if this worsening could be avoided without tweezing any hair during the session so none undertreated hair could be pulled off and no adjoining follicle would be stimulated??

Thanks for answering

You’ll just have to experience free consultations and sample the treatment and determine who to continue treatment with. Its as simple as that. Since you will only be experiencing a sample with each electrologist, don’t be concerned about possible growth stimulation. The electrologist you end up with will eventually work in those areas and those hairs won’t return.

Let us know how everything is progressing for you.

Good luck.

I’m saying this without seeing you, but the type of hair you describe tends to feel more plucky. Many of the fuzzy hairs have already completed their growth faze, and will not slide out as easily without a small pop.
Oh, and don’t worry about stimulating the hair by this. You need repeated plucking of thicker hairs over time to create enough damage that will make your hair situation worse.

Is using something like Nair on your face once an option for you? Then, you can do electrolysis on whatever grows out. You get the benefit of treating the hairs in the growing faze, and it will be a less daunting strategy for both you and your electrologist.

Thank you very much for answering!!
I know the best is to lean on electrologist experience, you’re absolutely right but I’m quite concerned about this worsening and just wandering…would the treatment be as much effective as usual if each hair is left on its place once it is been shot and just let them all fall out little by little? Would it be “safer”?

What can explain then the stimulation others suffered?

Could the peach fuzzy hair be treated with blend or galvanic?

I really appreciate your comments. I’m so dawnhearted and just trying to get out of this nightmare the best I know…

You can leave the treated hair in the follicle, and it will shed in time. But then, it’s hard to track which hairs have been treated. Again, don’t worry about the little pops from dried out hair bulbs. They will not make your hair issue worse. The stimulation occurs when there is repeated damage to the skin, more blood flows there for healing, and the increased blood supply can stimulate the hair. This isn’t the case with the type of hair and the type of tugging you describe.

I don’t think it makes sense to use galvanic on peach fuzz. You technically can, but why?

I’m so confused…this is the reason why I asked.
Apparently, I would like to try blend or galvanic as I’ve read in some blogs, actually hair zapper, that thermolysis could be more scarring due to it might be necessary to treat the same area several times in order to kill the follicle.
I would like to know as well if the amount of hair could be also a factor to take into account to prevent stimulation of the adjacent follicle , even if these are light and thin, as the more hair is treated the more damage in the area is done, then the blood flow will increase too??

Sorry for being so nosy…

Thermolysis is not more scarring. It is not scarring at all. It’s possible to cause scarring with a #2 pencil, but both, #2 pencils and thermolysis are safe to use as indicated.

Using any method in the world, you will need to treat the same area several times. It is perfectly safe if done properly.

If electrolysis caused more hair growth, there wouldn’t be millions of people for over 100 years who’d gotten rid of their unwanted hair. I work on people’s faces every day, and the hair only gets less and less, I promise

You will need an experienced electrologist that uses good light and magnification it is very important for these hairs.

Noooo!! Thermolysis is not scarring no method of electrolysis is scarring provided that you are getting treatment with a technician that knows what they are doing. I would reccommend seeing an electrologist who is using the latest machine Apilus. They will be able to go through these hairs so much faster. Galvanic would be to slow.

Yes, you are not to feel any plucking sensation you may hear a popping noise sometimes, that is ok.

This kind of hair you will not clearance right away it is a thinning down process.

After my first electrolysis treatment I’ve experienced an increase of hair density and noticed the vellus turn into coarser hair.
I don’t know why it happened?
My nightmares are coming true!!

Really! How soon did you notice this increase in density and acceleration of the vellus hair after that first treatment?

How recently did you start noticing the hair to begin with?

I have never heard of increased growth (density or coarseness) with electrolysis/thermolysis, but I have heard of it from a “different” method of hair removal.

The increase started the same day I had treatment and it is still worsening.
I can’t understand why it happened??? I guess I have a lot of semi-awake follicles or something due to the laser treatment and all these follicle seem to be waiting to bloom yet…
