I am so sick of body hair and really can’t afford to do every area I’d like to do professionally.
I went for one professional treatment and would like to go back for more but since $$ is tight I don’t want to keep going if it’s not working.
I have no idea if the practitioner I’m seeing is a good one, and since it was only one treatment I went for on leg hair, I have no clue if it was effective. There was minimal irritation but quite a few black dots. I don’t know if those were the results of poor technique or if those were new hairs coming to the surface.
I got so discouraged I caved and epilated. I feel like I’m always going to be battling this <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />.
You are not new to this forum. Many people here have devoted time to trying to help you out. It has been almost 2 years since you first came here. You say you have no money yet you purchased professional electrology equipment. From your posts, in a years time, you just visited one electrologist and had one appointment during this time. Is this correct?
If you are frustrated, then examine how you are handling your situation.
I suggest that you start by contacting the local electrologists in Mississauga. There are several. Did you speak to all of the electrologists in Mississauga? Did you go for free consultations and sample their treatments? Here is a list of the Mississauga electrologists who are members of the Federation of Canadian Electrologists.

I’ve done a board search for toronto and haven’t really gotten anything. Also, the list by location doesn’t include canada.

The $800 I spent on professional equipment took me a long time to save up, and is nowhere close to the $7000+ I would need to clear up my problematic areas. I’m sorry if expressing my frustration with body hair on this board gives you the impression that I’m ungrateful for the advice people have given me. I’m not. I just hate hair. Thanks for the FCEA list–it’s the first I’ve heard of it. I wish I’d come across it earlier.
I know this is a funny thing but I’ve done it…Barter.
I have clients who don’t have the money for treatments every week but they can offer great services that I NEED.
IE: car repair,haircut/color, new carpet, landscaping,high end clothes,jewerly…
Try placing a barter ad in your area you may be surprised. You could barter your epilator for $700.00+ in services.
