Skin reaction to electrolysis treatment - PICS

Fresh OfficeDuster pics from yesterday:
I MUST stress again for the casual viewer that this is NOT an example of MY work. My work is only shown in the ONE picture with the nearly nonexistant irritation on Pages 2 and 3 of this post string.

As you can see, she is healing steadily

This looks great. By my calculations, this is day 13 since her FIRST electrolysis treatment. Am I off here on the date? Kudos for your consistentcy in posting your progress, as this is of great interest to many who are watching and thinking about what is acceptable, or even borderline acceptable for electrolysis healing. What is it they say, “Pictures are worth a thousand words”?

Am I being too pesky to ask you to post again in weekly intervals until it is healed?

Dee

Its cool, I dont have a problem with posting! I am trying to figure out how many times I have gone for this area, I think its about 5 times I have gone for this area so far. It’s still a work in progress.

Hi. On the most recently posted picture of OfficeDuster’s treatment, there are white marks where the scabs have fallen away. After having a small area around my belly button done by thermolysis, I also have some white areas which aren’t obvious at all angles, but at some angles are quite noticeable.

I was concerned that this was scarring, but after seeing that James had posted a comment saying that OfficeDuster’s treatment (while not the best post-treatment reaction) is healing well, I feel slightly relieved. It’s only been two weeks since my treatment and I know that it may take up to 3 months for the area to return completely to normal.

Basically, I just have a question for OfficeDuster: How long was it until these white marks disappeared?

White spots: Hard to say really, still have some and maybe newer stuff going on because I have started round two of the bikini clearing now! I will take other pics when I can, maybe tonight.

actually, i was concerned seeing these, too. I dont have reactions anywhere near like this. on my face there is just some patchy swelling for maybe half an hour and thats it. no little red dots, no little scabs and certainly no white “scars,” even temporary ones.

could this be the difference between methods? what was the method used here, officeduster? i get blend only. could that have been thermolysis?

or is it just that people react differently?

hmm.

ok, im a dork. sorry to waste everyone’s time. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

i just read the entire thread (note to self: read before posting) and see that this is thermolysis, which I have no experience with and so i am not familiar with the healing patterns of it.

my electrologist says this is largely a regional thing. the people that move here from the east that want her services always ask for thermolysis, which i think she doesnt do. here, blend is what everyone seems to do (im sure there are exceptions, but ive called around and asked tons of people…).

i guess we’ll see what kind of healing i have when we move away from doing my face.

so james, you said that the healing is really different for galvanic, blend and therm. is there an easy description of each, or a comparative pic? some sort of rule of thumb?

ya know, im trying to learn all this stuff. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> i would love to try the different approaches myself on the different parts of my body to see just what they all do. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
