I am just curious. Do women have sideburns? Since I am treating my face and I still have sideburns that extend to the center where my ear attaches to my face. Though very little hair is there, I am wondering if that is more common on men or women.
I don’t have any. I think it depends on the shape of your face. you can try shaving it and seeing if you like the look…
I had my sideburns raised and feathered years ago with electrolysis. As a practicing electrologist, this is a common area requested for treatment for women, especially. It goes very fast and is quite satisfying. My client’s come in for occassional touch-ups with their hair back or raised in a pony-tail and they look quite different - meaning cute. Treatment for the sideburns are usually requested after we make headway on the upper lip or eyebrows.
Added this: Yes, women have side burns. I just caught a re-run of “Everybody Loves Raymond” and wife, Deborah, has juicy sideburns. I personally don’t like noticable, pronounced sideburns on women, but obviously, her sideburns don’t bother her. It’s all in the eye of the beholder.

I got them done…one of the best decisions i have ever made. you do become a different person afterwards. i can’t even tell you how self conscious i was of them before. i’d go to the gym and keep my hair down while working out and people would ask why don’t i put up my hair, aren’t i hot? if i was walking outside and the wind would blow i’d be very scared of people seeing that i had them. i used to walk with my head down so that my hair could kind of cover them up. i wasn’t able to do any hair dos…always just had to leave my hair down. i am beyond happy that i got them cleared…i get to do anything with my hair and show my face off…u dont realize what a difference it makes.
