I have been using Lidocaine 4% from a hairproducts site. I haven’t used a lot, it comes in a 60g container and I used the 60g spread apart about every 3 days and it took an entire month to use the 60g. However I recently took part in a medical research and got my blood taken before the research started. The doctor said my blood contains very high levels of the liver enzyme AST and moderately high levels of AST.
My AST level was 136 – Normal is 11-40
My ALT level was 43 – Normal is 15-40
Does anyone know if Lidocaine when applied directly to the skin damages the liver?
Note: Another cause of high AST levels was alcohol abuse. I do not drink more than once a month so this is eliminated.
