Hello everyone,
I have performed both cold waxing and sugaring on my legs for the first time some week and a half ago. I was more contempt with sugaring since the paste was easier to control and less painful than waxing.
I am unhappy with the result obtained nonetheless! Right from some time after waxing, especially on my upper legs, I got small red bumps, which thankfully, disappeared by the next day, however some red spots and some gray spots have become very evident on my upper legs now. My upper legs look like a mixture of black, red and gray spots all over.
I think some hairs were broken, instead of being removed from the roots, during waxing, but I didn’t worry too much about this then because I was hoping to go over the legs again with a rotating epilator, which I did. When I tried, the problem seemed to have gotten worse and now I have more small red and black dots on my legs. It seems that some of the new hairs are too fragile for the epilator yet they feel stubble. What’s worse, their growth seems slow and not all of the “cut-hairs” have grown back to a decent size for the epilator to work properly.
I have tried scrubbing my legs with a sponge during warm showers and use moisturizers after so to prevent ingrown hairs but seems like it is all getting much worse whatever I try. Some follicles must have bled during the scrubbing and blood crusts have formed on them.
Please, what can I do to remove the small hairs that do not want to go which make my leg have an unsmooth texture, and what can I do to remove the ingrown hairs? Will the use of a moisturizer really help?
