Should I let hair fully grow out 4 better results?

I still don’t know much about electrolysis until I see a professional, but I’m wondering if I need to let the hair grow out completely versus halfway to achieve better results. I wouldn’t mind allowing it to grow out on other parts of the body. My face is the one place where I would be embarassed to grow out because I can’t hide that under clothing.

For those who have had hair removal by electrolysis, have you noticed a better result in removal of longer hairs versus shorter hairs?

The hair should only be long enough so the electrologist can grab it with tweezers. I don’t think the length of hair after that point matters. I have also noticed that it’s better not to bleach facial hairs before going in for a treatment as it’s hard to see them.

Yes, they only need to be long enough to grab with tweezers. The less you wait the better actually because hair is best killed when it’s still new and weak.

Agreed. Get the new hairs coming in and they only have to be 1/16" - 1/8" in length. Find an electrologist that has good magnification so they can see blond or even the hairs that have been bleached. Short hairs are no problem to see with surgical magnification. Things actually progress quite nicely if you have got a modernly equipped electrologist. Clip or shave 24 - 72 hours before your session.

Are you tweezing or shaving? If you are tweezing you must completely stop. Shaving is fine and you’ve been given good information above.

Oh no, I shave, and thank you all for the advice. I definitely agree that 72 hours prior to a treatment is a good time to allow new hair growth, especially considering how fast mine grows.
