Should I give Electrolysis another try?

Oh Jossie, Somehow my videos are not making any traction … maybe too technical?

People want short answers … but then, they are not satisfied with short answers … Remember the kid that insisted his PIH was permanent … even in the face of the reality that PIH is NEVER permanent!

No, they are PERFECT. Give it time and you’ll see how one day they will be the most viewed. There was a time when your books were not the most popular of them all, and look, today everyone knows about them and wants them on their shelf.

People know when something is really good!

Your videos are very informative but the multi-part series are good for prospective students and electrologists who are eager to learn and understand skin physiology.
In my opinion, if you want to target a consumer, then the subject has to be condensed to 6 minute clip not longer, covering A-Z very briefly. I don’t think a consumer will remember or care about illustrations of what macrophages and melenocites do. They will related to photos of swollen, leaking, PIH, inflamed skin and an explanation of that it’s normal and when they should expect symptoms to subside.

Good suggestions and thanks!

I had hoped that I’d get photos sent so I could expand Part 4 into a series of “boo boos” and explanations. So far … no response (except for a scant few clients … and I appreciate that). I may have to start my own “boo boo” list to get where I want to go.

But a quick “client” video that might tamp down the “fear factor” is probably a very good idea indeed.

"I make it … "

Having just spent two days recreating an aftercare pamphlet I am now left wondering if I should be doing another one, on skin reactions.

YES … do it. EVERYTHING helps!

I have a ‘random notes on skin healing paper’ that I hand to clients after I explain things in that first consult. For me, the consult never ends. Each time the client comes in, I repeat what I told them in the consult until they say something like, “DeeDee, I get it!”.

So now, some time has gone by since I had the session that resulted in some skin issues for me. I wanted to stress that the electrologist herself was concerned with it, and she asked me to stop for a bit to let the skin heal. The skin has since healed really well. Time was all the was needed I guess. I do have a couple of spots of hyper pigmentation from the electrolysis but based on the videos and what I have read here, I know this will fade with time.

I have had my second laser session as well, and am continuing with laser and electrolysis as per what was recommended by the electrologist. It’s only been a couple of months, but the difference so far is amazing. I am happy to see the results as time progresses. My recent electroylsis sessions have not resulted in any more skin issues, and I am able to go about every 2 weeks or so, but the hair overall between laser and electroylsis is really slowing down, growing in finer, and disappearing altogether. To be able to feel the smoothness of my upper lip and chin- I don’t know why I waited so long!
