I had IPL done on my abdomen and three weeks has past but not all the dark hairs have fallen out. I thought that I read somewhere that all the hairs should fall out by 3 weeks but that some of those will be ineffective as further growth may be underneath them, depending upon the hair phase.
I called the provider and they said only some will fall out depending upon the hair growth stage. Which is it, should all fall out or only some?
Yes ideally all hair regardless of hair cycles should shed. That’s why good/experienced clinics offer touch-ups after 3 weeks to make sure all remaining hairs shed. But I wouldn’t do treatments with IPL because of its poor reputation compared with true lasers like Alexandrite and ND:Yag.
Yes I have looked at IPL for bikini area as it is fairly affordable in my area, however after reading up about it, its pretty poor and unlikely to get any results on reduction. Only true Laser offers the reduction you are after and is unfortunately way out of my price range.
