Short wave diathermy for upper lips?

Hi,
My electrologist have around 30 year of exp and uses swd technique.
I have asked her to remove upper lip hair, however she told me that upper lip hair are fine and electrolysis can leave scars on upper lip area.

I am looking for other techniques that might be suitable for upper lip area without any permanent side effects.

I’m a bit confused. I suppose that SWD means “short wave diathermy?” SWD is a rather ancient term for the more-commonly-used term “thermolysis.” My guess, based on the terminology she’s using, is that your 30-year veteran has not kept up with the significant advances in thermolysis. Let’s put it this way: Today’s SWD is not our grandmother’s SWD!

Furthermore, virtually every electrologist today uses thermolysis for upper lip hairs … it’s the standard (even for people who use other methods, such as the blend). This is especially true for small upper lip hairs. Then again, maybe your electrologist thinks that your hairs are too small to treat … and, doesn’t want to do it?

omg.

Short wave, diathermy, thermolysis (all mean the same) are perfectly wonderful for any area. She may not be able see the hairs, so she cannot treat the hairs. Shop on!
