Shaving Irritation

I’m a 27 year old male looking to get a close and comfortable shave. The hair on my face is very dark and coarse and my skin is very sensitive. What products would some of you suggest for dealing with shaving irritation immediately after shaving and also irritation that occurs several hours later when the hair begins to grow back through the skin? Also, does anyone know of any electric shavers that are made specifically for people with thick (diameter) and coarse facial hair?

First, you should invest in a good razor, and change the blade often. The Mach 3 Turbo is the best razor I’ve ever used.

It’s best to shave after taking a hot shower, which will soften the hairs and make them easier to cut.

It’s also important to exfoliate between shavings. Right before bed, I take a hot shower and scrub my neck and face with a loofah pad. You can also use a product called Tend Skin, which is very effective for preventing ingrowns and irritation.
