Sequentium vmc operator problems

Hello, I am new to the forum and am not sure if this is the right place for my post, but here it is. About 4 months ago I bagan training with a instructor on an electrolysis machine I don’t know the name of. The woman who owns the spa I will be working at, however, bought a new Sequentium vmc. My problem; I am not nearly as good on the new machine as on my instructors machine, and can’t seem to get it set to perform well with most people. Occasionally someone comes in that I am able to fine tune the settings and it works so wonderfully that I can’t imagine why I am having problems at other times. I guess I am wondering if anyone might have had some issues when first using this machine, or if it’s just a matter of more practice? I am actually quite good on my instructors machine! I have tried Cust/service at the company that we got this machine from but that has been a real dissappointment as I have not been able to talk with anyone there who actually seems to know how to run this machine. Anyway, any help anyone has would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I used the VMC from 2003 to recently. I was very, very pleased with this epilator and still have it as a back up unit. I never had any problems transitioning from my other epilator to the VMC. It was rather easy.

Can you be more specific about your troubles?

Dee

Hi Dee,
Thank you for responding! With the VMC set on thermolysis, correct body part, level 3 and tolorance 1, working with foot pedal. After making the insertion and applying the foot pedal I am unable to easily remove the hair on one fellow most of the time, however sometimes it was just fine. I was using a #1 wire.

I have a question too, is their needleholder more difficult to use than a shorter needleholder in some areas(say under the neck if the lady has large chest or in the inner thigh area)?

I was thinking of buying one but noticed the needleholder is rather long and the length doesnt seem to be changable like fischer or apilus. It must be heavier too???

While the Apilus machines come with a short and long probe holder (and have an even shorter optional probe holder available from the company) the Silhouet-Tones come with one long one, or two long ones, and if one wants a shorter one, it must be ordered separately.

Rest assured, you can get a short probe holder for this machine, and it does help for tight spots like working the neck and upper chest of a heavy person, or a lady with an ample bosom, or other tight spots one may encounter on a body.

You can order the shorter probe holder from Texas Electrolysis Supply either on the web or on the phone at 1-800-626-6025

I found out the VMC only comes in one standard size :frowning: but, I’m sure there are ways to work around it. I guess you need to get creative with the clients positions.

I emailed the rep if you can use the ST-250 needlecords with the VMC but they did not answer that question…overall I got very vauge answers.

Texas Electrolysis has shorter probe holders that have the correct end to plug into the VMC.

Oooh, good to know!!! I’m giving the vmc a second thought now

You e-mailed Silhouet-Tone? Maybe that rep didn’t know the right answer. I would call them in Vermont next time and see if that is better. Just google it to find the phone number.

The VMC is an awesome tool. I like the screeen display and the shell design much better than the Platinum. I like the probe holder feel as well, compared to the Platinum, but those are very minor details. I would closely consider the VMC over any other epilator in the Silhouet-Tone line, [size:8pt](hint, hint)[/size], if you can possibly afford it.
