Was wondering anyone has advice on LHR with an Alma Harmony …

My question is if I’m getting fed the correct information ,. I’m getting LHR on my underarm and “bikini” and got to looking at the information the clinic gave on the laser.

Specifically, it’s an Alma Harmony with an “HR” (hair removal?) module (at 14 joules, 30ms, 5cm) on type 2 skin.

The question relates to them saying this is a diode laser where from the information on this site it appears to be an IPL type.

They have the soprano model as well, though I haven’t seen which varient.

The target was to do ~80% clearance after 6 sessions spaced 6 weeks apart.

Does any of this set off alarm bells?

From what I know, Harmony is one of the better IPLs and can give good results.

I’m not aware of settings on it so I can’t comment, sorry.

6 weeks might be soon for these areas. You should wait for 8-12 weeks.

Soprano doesn’t get good reviews here. I’d advise you stay away from it.

For someone who is skin type 2, Alexandrite lasers would be the best bet. You should find a clinic with GentleLase or GentleMax or Cynosure’s Alexandrite lasers( I don’t know what they are called)
