I had my 2nd treatment on Thursday in with Cassie in Chicago. I cannot say enough good things about her! James I sincerely appreciate the recommendations and happily chose her from the options you provided–there was nothing wrong with the other however!
I had the treatments one week apart and will continue with this until I am done with my face and neck.
It looks like things will clear nicely. My chin is still pretty clear, no long, coarse, black hair, on Sunday without shaving which is nothing short of a miracle for me.
The upper lip is a lot more clear than it was. My cheeks will take some work but nothing that is unexpected.
I did not have any real redness or swelling after the first treatment. It was slightly tender but otherwise fine. I applied the ice as Cassie instructed and then used witch hazel for a couple of days afterwards. It’s so hard to keep my hands off of the treated areas! I keep checking for new growth.
After the 2nd treatment I again used the ice and now witch hazel again without swelling or redness. The skin feels a bit weird as it feels bumpy but doesn’t look at all like this in my magnifying mirror. Just a bit of tenderness this time as well.
The IPL had to have been working some even though it did not seem like it at all!
The worst part is letting it grow. I have spent so many years obsessed with the removal and the shame of such noticable growth that the days leading up to treatment are just agonizing. However, now I feel like there is enough of it knocked out that I can let it grow without as much dread and find out what is really going on here!
