I use both my hands, tweezer in left & probe holder in right, & my ring & pinkie on both hands ache from pressure exerted between my hand & the client’s flesh. Anyone else have this symptom?
Hi, I haven’t tried the two-handed method as I was trained to use one hand only. I don’t suffer from aching at all and I’ve been practising for over 30 years now, so perhaps it may be worth switching methods to see if your hands benefit from a different technique. Otherwise, perhaps the client could help you out by holding the skin taut for you, or slightly shifting position to help the skin stretch itself a little more?
It would seem I am angling my hands too much—I can get better speed since the probe holder has less distance between my finger holding it to the insertion area (more precision faster). I need to somehow train my hands not to push down so much
