Hi everyone!
I just had my first electrolysis 4 days ago on my breasts and I have scabs on the places the electrolysis was done. I was wondering when would they go away? Thank you!
It’s the normal healing process so they’ll go away when they’re ready. After the scabs there might be some redness/darkness that could last a few days to several months.
Thank you. how long we are not supposed to touch them? Until the scabs are gone?
IMHO, i do think you should let the scar alone until they are gone. That is not a big deal and by doing this, you will eventually prevent skins problems. I strongly suggest you to use bepathen cream after your electrolysis treatment in order to prevent the scabs formations and to minimize the skin inflamatory reaction.
I tested Bepanthen and it had zero effect: http://www.hairtell.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/126338/Bepanthen_cream_test.html
Save your money and your mind from worries by doing absolutely nothing, your skin will repair itself on its own : )
I am also using bepanthen and its not doing much
Hello, i read your post. The only thing I can say is that when a test is made, the surrounding skin area should not be subject to electrolysis and other source of irritation like the glue of an adhesive dressing. That being said I do think it would have been very interessant if a test is made without any irritation of the surrounding skin.
I would like to make it clear: the application of Bepanthen won’t render your area permanently hair free, it won’t repare the effects of a bad treatment but It will lessen the inflamatory reaction of your skin. In this forum, people are always worried about skin reactions, how their skin evolve after an electrolysis treatment. For them I would suggest the use of bepanthen. I have used this products many times after electrolysis treatment and it has helped a lot with the inflammatory reaction with repeated application during the early days post treatments
To conclude and be clear: Bepanthen is not magic! It won’t make your skin after electrolysis like anythings happened. But it does help and prevent the creation of scabs. I experienced it anytime I put this product after a treatment.
So do you suggest to use bepanthen right after treatment? Before the scabs are formed
You got it! Right.
