Satisfied With LHR & Electrolysis

It might not have been noticed or not, but I haven’t posted anything in a while. It looks like this forum has changes since I’ve looked at it. That might give you an idea as to how long it has been since I’ve viewed it. I guess, the main reason is I don’t look at the site as much anymore. I am a victim of that strange phenomenon of not going onto these bulletin boards because I am a satisfied customer.

I never considered hair removal until a couple of years ago when I shaved some areas out of curiousity. I never turned back. My original intent was to get a reduction. But, I really liked the hairless periods so I changed my goal to lose most of the hair in the areas I was having treated. I started with laser (or IPL (Aurora)) and had couple of treatments with GentleLASE. Don’t ask how many treatments, I lost track. However, the number was not excessive – probably around 9 or 10. Then, I went to electrolysis and I am at the point where I am pretty satisfied.

I found this board to be very informative because of people like Blink, LE and a few others.

Don’t be discouraged as it does require patience. You also have to remember that when people, such as myself, aren’t absorbed in the hair removal process any longer, they kinda disappear from bulletin boards such as these.

During my journey, I did have good experiences and bad experience. Yes, I have been burned by both the Aurora and the GentleLASE. But, you can’t tell now and haven’t been able to tell for a long, long time. I have had good techs and not so good techs. Some took their time and did thorough jobs while others tended to rush and not overlap.

Thanks BRR. Positive posts like this one is very uplifting to the neophyte unwanted hair consumer.

Combining modalities is a good strategy at times, but it does sound like you could have “survived” with the reduction you got from laser alone. Just reducing the amount, size and color of the hair is the definition of success for many. It’s also posssible, as shown in your case, to take it up a notch and finish and refine with electrolysis…

An awesome report from an awesome poster. I can’t tell you how grateful we are to have people like yourself that come back and finish the story.

Thanks BRR for reporting back and on both forums.
