ruby laser vs gentlelase

hello all,

just to say thanks to all the information you guys have supplied here over the years.

i just have a couple of little question, which is the most powerful laser in terms of removing hair; the q-switched ruby laser or the gentlelase alexanderlite? if theoretically they were both put to full power.
im a skin type 1 to 2 and the reason why im asking is because theres to clinics, one which is about 10 minutes from me and uses the ruby laser and another one, which is about an hour and a half away and uses the alexanderlite.

i know the ruby is more risky, so am i right in thinking that its more effective? does anyone also know the max spot size on the ruby laser as well?

I cannot think of a reason why anyone would still be using a ruby laser. They haven’t been manufactured in a while, so it must be a pretty old machine. Hands down, go with GentleLASE.
