Removal of hair with a transparent or very light base

Hi guys,

Hope for your help on a subject that has been bothering me a lot lately.
Removing the thick black hair is actually easy, but how do you deal with the thin hair with the transparent or light base?
I can see the entire length of the hair, but when you get close to the entrance to the follicle you can’t see the base of the hair and therefore you can’t see where to insert the probe…
I would be very very happy for some advice and tips :pray:t3:

(I tried parallel light and a little coloring with eye shadow)

You need better magnification and lighting.

Thank you for the advice.
i have ×3 magnification, what would you recommend for bright hair?
and maybe you can also recommend on a kind of lamp that is good for this cases?

I use about a 8x magnifying loop. You can also try loops, a microscope, and as a start you could mildly tug on the hair to identify the follicle placement.

O i didn’t know ×8 exists, the max’ i saw here was x5… :eyes:
isn’t such magn’ damages the eyes in the long term?

(i tried to gently tug the hair to locate the entrance, but it is so bright that i dont see it in the moment i let go…)

i plan on magnification loupes in the future, but until then hope for a good solution.

thank you
