Removal of Hair Transplant w/ Electrolysis

In the early 90’s I had one hair transplant surgery with approximately 150 grafts to the front hairline. My hairline has now receded and the grafts are visible and separated from my natural hair.

I have done a lot of research and have decided that electrolysis will be my best chance at removing the graphs - I do not wish to have any more surgery.

Has anyone here had this procedure done or worked on someone who has?

I’m going to start with blend and hope that it is effective.

Any advice you could give me would be appreciated, especially post-procedure skin care.

Also, the graft have only been growing for 8 weeks - I was plucking them prior to that time. Do I have to wait a specific amount of time to start attacking them with electrolysis?

Finally, does anyone know of an electrolysis technician in Los Angeles that has specific experience with hair transplant patients?

Thank you all for your help.

Hi Clip,

While my knowlege of LA area electrologists is somewhat limited, I do know that Robin Harris in Westwood would be a very good candidate for this type of work. Besides being a very good electrologist, she is also working out of a dermatology office and does a lot of specialized types of electrology. She is also very knowlegable in treating areas that have had surgery and other things like skin grafts.

I know from my own experiences with her that she does do very good work. Her prices are pretty much on par with other electrologists in the area, plus she has the ability to have local anesthetics done by one of the MD’s in the practice if need be. She can also call in a dermatologist for consultation on the spot.

Here’s the link to her info;
Robin Harris, CPE

Anyway, that’s my best suggestion. For your situation, it would be best to go to someone who has the ability for instant medical opinions and advice if needed. This is one place where you can get all of your questions answered.

All the best,
Joanie

Hi Joanie,

Thank you for the advice, I will contact her as soon as possible.

Also, I’ll post back with the results, because this is a common problem for a lot of men.

I’ve been to Robin. She’s good. Tina Reynolds in Westwood is also good. Run a search for “Los Angeles” here. It’s been discussed before and there is a list.
