regrowth

I went to my electrologist last week to have her shape my eyebrows. She had mentioned that we had to keep an eye out for the regrowth in the next 3 to 4 weeks. This seemed kinda strange to me because I thought it took a lot longer for the hair that was treated to regrow. Sometimes when I pluck my eyebrows it takes that long to come back. Or maybe its just the eyebrows that grow faster? So i’m really curious if anyone can tell me or give me a good link that has a breakdown of hair regrowth on different areas when you are treated with blend compared to waxing or plucking the area.

the word “regrowth” means different things to different people.

REAL regrowth, would be a hair that was undertreated, and came back. Electrologists have long ago given up on educating the public to this point. We know that no matter what we say, any hair they see after the first time they have seen us (Even when it is growing in a place we did not touch) IS CALLED REGROWTH BY THE CLIENT.

So, most of us, just try to speak their language, you know?

Please do some research on hair cycles. Hair grows in several cycles. So, in 3 weeks, you will see NEW hair in the next growth cycle. You won’t see the same hair that was already treated just 3 weeks ago. This isn’t any different than waxing or plucking, since you remove hair with the room in all cases during your treatment. With electrolysis, you’re just disabling the follicle when the hair is treated.

For your eyebrows, you will have to go in once every 2-3 weeks to start, then it will gradually taper off to every 3-4 weeks and once a month. It will take about 12 months for you to be completely done. I had this area treated with electrolysis and am done now.
