Reasonable Times to Completion

Hi,

I’m considering electrolysis on a few areas (upper lip, underarms, and bikini line), and I was wondering if there is any general consensus either on how long it should take before noticeable improvements have been made or on how long it should take to complete an area. I realize this varies client to client and electrologist to electrologist, but I’d like to know at what point people would recommend switching to a different electrologist if I don’t see results with whomever I start with.

Thanks!

Three to six months before you see a noticeable improvement and nine to eighteen months (average) to complete the job.

Does the frequency and length of each individual session affect this at all? Due to scheduling difficulties, I would probably only be able to go every other week.

it does, if you arenmt getting enough treatment to remove all the hair bothering you.If you dont get enough hair removal to do this, then the time frame gets longer.

I never see people weekly, unless we can’t get a full clearance straight up off the bat.

If she will work on you for more than 15-60 minutes to obtain a first, full clearance, then you can go in every 3-4 weeks and then every 6-8 weeks and then every 10-12 weeks. That is one strategy that works well.

Ok, good to know! Thanks for your help.

It depends on the strategy. After a really full and detailed clearance You can expect an improvement even after the 1st clearance - provided that the area had been left alone previously. Main Exception: male beard.

On the upper lip it is not always possible to achieve a full and detailed clearance at once.

I do Dee have one reason I do see some people weekly. Actually, some twice a week. Serious pluckers. If they just cant keep their hands off the tweezers I will arrange short twice weekly appointments so I get the hairs before they are bothered by them.
