Scantlin is not your ‘Average’ reality show survivor

The good times keep on rolling for KC’s most successful “reality show” grad, Melana Scantlin.
Scantlin — of “Average Joe” fame — still has her weekly movie review gig with Shawn Edwards on Fox 4. New additions include 10-week-old Yorkie Gracie, a VH1 gig and a rather provocative photo spread in August’s FHM magazine.
There is one PR “coup” Scantlin wishes would just go away: those billboards all over town for laser hair removal that she posed for four years ago.
“I hate them,” Scantlin says. Because?
“It’s just cheesy,” Scantlin says. “I’m the same person, but sometimes pictures come out that are just cheesy.”
