Razor Rash on stoumache!! ouch!!

Hello! Im new here, and new to the whole trimming/waxing and general hair removal, ive always been o’naturelle

Well i decided to Trim my Pubic hair, just leaving a small short ammound above my genitalier. Well after i trimed i Shaved it, normaly like i do my face… well next morning i have Loads of little red spots and im very very sore. Also i literaly have stubble already

My question is, If i wax, will i get the same irritation? or is this just a Razor burn/rash?

Thankyou

Paul

That is rather common when I shave down there - I found a new trick though in preparation for laser treatment for my whole bikini area - use clippers to get it short then use an electric razor (men’s face razor actually) and shave it. I did not get bumps or burns or anything. The stubbly feeling still comes on like with shaving, but no ingrowns or itching.

As for waxing, it will hurt for a bit and may be bumpy (little red bumps) for any where from a few hours to a few days (my experience is that my skin is mostly back to normal the next day). The good thing is you will be stubble free and hair free to for a few weeks or so.

Hey thanks, yeah im going to try hair removal cream when the rash heals, if that proves to much work too frequently, ill go woth the waxin

thanks

You will get warnings about harsh chemicals on tender skin, and you should heed it. Try a small area first and watch the clock closely to see that you don’t exceed the recommended time. However, I use NAIR and it works fine for all my male parts. BTW, after a year (or less) of shaving and hair removal, you should notice a significant reduction in in-growns and red bumps as your skin acclimates to the new you. I had it bad when I first started and now all I get is a bit itchy about 4 days after having a shave. It does get easier, so keep up the routine…

i had these issues and ingrowns before, so i chose to only wax. shaving with a new 3-4 blade razor like the Venus and using a shaving GEL (not cream) helps too, as well as soaking for 10 mins beforehand. The cream is not that great in my opinion since it rarely works to remove every single hair which bothers me. It can also irritate sensitive skin. since then, i’ve had laser hair removal and it’s done wonders.
