R. A. Fischer, back in the machine business

R. A. Fischer is now selling the SE-5A, an updated version of their SE-5 blend epilator. List price: $3999.99.

uh…why?

not to sound obtuse, but they dropped support for their machines years ago…and they are actually more expensive than an instantron, who supports the CRAP out of their machines. Why bother?

The machine is overpriced and it is analog. Doesn’t make sense to me either.

On a related note, the appearance is unimpressive. Epilators have been moving more towards a modern curved design and away from the sharp, box-like appearance of older models of epilators. It’s easy to assume that this has little influence on business, but as a subsection of the beauty industry, client perception matters.
