Quick Advice: Cynosure Elite settings for me?

Going in tomorrow for treatment! Have done lightsheer before, but I think the practitioner wasn’t very good. So now, onto Cynosure Elite.

I want the treatment to be as RIGOROUS as possible and can stand ANY amount of pain. I’m skin type II. I’m having my chest/abdomen done. So I’m assuming 15mm spot size, 5ms pulse width, and what would you guys say for Joules?

I obviously don’t want to burn, but I know I can handle a pretty lot, because my skin is light and the hair is dark enough. The lightsheer was cranked up and the only time it burnt in two places was when she didn’t clean off the tip that had hair on it!

Hi,

I’m skin type III and have had this machine used on me (alex laser) on the same area using 15 mm spot size, 5 ms pulse width, and 20 joules.

I’ve read that skin type II should be able to handle 20-25 joules (25 joules being the max on this machine).

This is just so you get an idea. Of course, everyone is different, so I would suggest doing a test patch first.
