I’ve been taking Spiro almost a year and a half now. Anyway, I just read that Spironolactone was found to increase the risk of tumors in rats. It also said that the rats were taking much higher doses than would be given to a human, but women taking Spiro for hair are on higher doses than what would be given to people with blood pressure issues. Has anyone heard anthing like that before? I’m contemplating stopping the medication. I think I could handle going back to how I was before, but I don’t know if I could handle it coming back worse because I’ve been on Spiro for so long. Has anyone heard if that would happen or not? I appreciate any advice.

I guess it depends on how careful you are about all the other things that cause things in your life. Do you stay out of the sun and wear sunblock 24/7? Do you only eat organic food? Do you take birth control? Pretty much everything in our society has some potential side effects.
