I might be visting Long Island for a month this summer, just wanted to know how far away that is from where you are located??
James is in Buffalo. That’s on the other side of NY state near the Canadian border, i.e. probably at least 5-6 hours.
Arlene is right outside of NYC though, so that’s a lot closer.
lagirl, Is Arlene on hairtell as well?
The Gior’s, as in Fino, are located on Long Island.
The Giors are in Great Neck, across the bridge from Manhattan.
Although I have been spending more time in Manhattan these days, my base of operation is Buffalo NY
In fact, it is my travel schedule that kept me from seeing this question until now.
Buffalo NY is a 45 minute plane ride from NYC and is usually about $150 round trip airfare with advanced purchase on Jet Blue, or any of the low fare carriers. Sometimes it is even $99 round trip, which is great because the bus is $160 and a hard ten hour “ride”.

If you are in Manhattan, come visit me! I am just a few minutes outside of Manhattan. We can work on each other! I have the Platinum and other machines, fiber optic lighting among other lighting, designs for visions at different distances…

If I can arrange to have some free time (what’s that?) and have it co-ordinate with your free time (yeah, this is sounding easier all the time) then I would love to lose a few more hairs from my chinny chin chin. 
Usually, however, I only have a small amount of time to get to my next location, and I have been missing out on visiting with my friends who live in that area. They take it personally that I have not managed to hang out with them, or take in a broadway show.
Maybe it will happen some time soon.
