Question about bikini treatment for a guy

Hi everyone, new here and have a question. I’m male and have done 2 or 3 sessions with laser on my full legs. I’m pretty shy when it comes to private areas so first place I went I wore shorts and pulled them up high, and second two times I wore just underwear but they covered me with a robe.

Was thinking of doing bikini line at another clinic as there’s a good deal on right now on one of those group buy type sites with Soprano XL. My question is in general to do bikini for a guy, do you have to remove your underwear? Or can you just wear a pair of briefs or underwear since they’re pretty much only treating the area that’s visible when wearing underwear? Not doing a brazillian just bikini line. Just wondering in general how the treatment usually works. If normally you have to take off underwear then no deal. I know I could request what makes me comfortable but more curious what the “norm” typically is? Thanks everyone!

Disposable underwear is one option…

These people are nurses and generally personnel that deals with nakedness every day. It’s just a job and it doesn’t matter to them if you take everything off. Treat it as a hospital visit. They’ve all seen everything already and do so on an everyday basis.

That’s the hard part. The first clinic I went to in my old town was a plastic surgeons office, so that looked like a doctors office, everyone dressed that way etc. The 2 clinics I go to currently though are very different. The one seems more like a home based business with the owner being a 50 year old woman that wears normal street clothes, and my other place is a bit more professional looking but the tech is probably 30 or younger and female, also wears street clothes and is about my age. So I guess it just depends on the clinic, if it looks like a doctors office it’s one thing but most don’t seem to be that way.

I don’t know that it matters what they dress in. Most people getting laser treatments are treating private areas like bikini. They do a dozen of them every day.

I say it matters because if they at least wear a lab coat and the setting is like a doctors office then it’s easier to do it vs it being a laser/waxing type studio. Either way you’ve answered my question in that it seems you need to remove underwear to do it so not going to do it anyway then. Thanks!

It depends on WHAT you’re trying to get treated. If you’re going for a full Brazilian, how else do you expect them to do it?

If you just want a regular bikini, why don’t you just wear briefs or some other type of underwear? The only areas that need to be exposed are those you want to get treated. It’s really not a big deal.

You should really be concerned with other things (type of laser, settings, experience, etc.) as opposed to whether or not your technician wears a lab coat.

Please read my original post, I did say I’m not doing brazillan just a regular bikini which is only visible while wearing briefs. That’s why I was asking if it’s common to have to take off your underwear when doing a normal non brazillian treatment.

I don’t care whether they wear lab coats or not, my point was 90% of laser hair removal places are “Laser, wax, and tanning studios” where it doesn’t seem like they typically would have men taking their pants off all together like in a doctors office.

I read your post…
My point was that the only areas that need to be exposed are those you want to treat.
If your underwear allows the technician to treat the hair you want removed, you can keep them on.

Usually the “laser, wax, and tanning studios” are places that use IPLs and Soprano-type machines.

If the place does hair removal, they typically do everything, including full brazilians, on a regular basis. So people remove everything all the time.

You don’t have to if you’re only treating a part of your bikini. You can wear whatever you want, as long as it exposes the areas you want treated. You can also wear the type of underwear that allows you to move it around during treatment.
