Push button Apilus Electropil Senior or Instantron Elite Sepctrum (old model)?

Sorry guys, I’m leaning away from the eBay machines i was looking at last time because of cost and risk.

I called Texas Electrolysis Supply and they’re selling some with warranties which makes me feel more comfortable as a newbie.

So now it’s between the Apilus Electropil Senior w/printer:

And the Instantron Elite Spectrum:

The picture of the Elite Spectrum is most likely not accurate because the gentlemen on the phone said that this is an older version. However, he said that there is actually no difference between the old and the new versions.

Also, he said that the old version Apilus is better than the new versions because the new versions have more problems. I just want to get whichever of the 2 machines is better.

Which of the 2 machines would you buy if you were a DIY newbie? And are used machines from TES a good decision? Thanks so much!

TES-good decision. I would go with Elite Spectrum.

I think I’ll do that then! Now I just have to decide on probes

I guess I’ll make a new post for that after I do my research!

You can contact Instantron company. Skip can give you many valuable advices :http://instantron.com/contact-us/

Do you think he’ll still support an older model/used elite spectrum?

I do not know. You can ask him.

Are you using it as DIY? I would avoid Apilus and go with Elite Spectrum as it’s better with Blend options which you should be using and not thermolysis. Also Apilus models are notorious with having poor user friendly instruction manuals plus you don’t need printers.

That makes sense! Thanks for the advice!

I used to recommend kijiji for finding these, but honestly, recently I’m finding lots of machines just by going to fcebook marketplace and typing Apilus. to search for. Here’s a few that came up in my search just now:

Wow, I didn’t know Facebook Marketplace had become so popular! I’m afraid, however, to have one shipped from Canada (there aren’t any in my area) and have it not work on me .

I perform on my own face with an Instantron, galvanic. It works well. Not sure if Skip supports the older models. I believe he changed the foot pedal plug a few years ago.

Instantron supports all of its machines regardless of age. Apilus pulls support after a certain period of time (you might want to check the specifics on this) and you are left with a brick if your machine breaks down.

You are my hero

Very good to know. Instantron might be better for me in all respects then
