Pubic: Laser -> Electrolysis or just Electrolysis?

I want to remove all pubic hair permanently. Front to back, side to side, inner lips, outer lips, and in my bum area. I know that laser hair removal can (sometimes) provide (decent) reduction in hair growth however I am looking for complete PERMANENT removal. Should I start with laser hair removal and then when I see results have peaked move on to electrolysis or should I go straight for electrolysis? Also, I have heard that there is a possibility that regrowth happens years later with laser hair removal. This is another thing that worries me and has me wondering if I should go straight for electrolysis from the start. I would hate to get laser hair removal only to have hair grow back years later and have to pay additional money to fix the problem. What are your thoughts on this?

Just electrolysis.
For all the reasons you stated and more.

If you want to go completely bare then it has to be electrolysis.

Has anyone experienced pitting and/or scarring in this area or any other area? I know every procedure has its risks but it seems like it will be hard to tell if an electrologist will be good with her hands and able to avoid this situation regardless of qualifications when I don’t know what I should be expecting to see/feel/experience in the first place. I am just so nervous.

If you have dark, very coarse hair on your never lands region and pale skin, I would start with laser reduction and finish with electrolysis. I have witnessed too many cases where laser has been a tremendous, highly affective plan to remove the bulk of the hair. It won’t get it all though! Electrolysis will tidy up area permanently.

I wish there were more consumer testimonials about laser for this area. Just thought I would share my anecdotal observations. I am very impressed to say the least.

I have had this area done. I still get electrolysis clean up from time to time. If you are just starting this, and have the appropriate skin color and hair color as dfahey has stated, I would definitely get the laser work done first to kill as many hairs as possible. Then go with electrolysis. Its a slow and tedious process to remove all of the hairs, but then again I’m a guy. You probably don’t have as much hair as I did. A razor hasn’t touched a pubic hair on my body in 5 years! I love the results and would never wish for the hair to come back. There is a whole new world of sexual sensations down there without the hair. And I serious when I say its 3 times better than even the just shaved feeling. There is no irritation. No ingrown hairs. No stubble ever!
Sorry about writing a book on this. But thats how happy I am being hairless down there!

I’ve been doing DIY with the One Touch every day for about 3-4 months, (chin area) I have over treated meself and have pitting, the pitting doesn’t bother me, as a female I’d rather have the pitting than hair!.. I was really down about about the chin hair, almost suicidal!.. I still have lots of unwanted hair on my body, but that unseen hair doesn’t bother me… Now I just worry about nasal hair, it’s black and it grows outside, is there anyway can I get rid of nasal hair permently?

What ozzy said. I owe my results in part to his advice which I took a year and a half ago now.

I am also a guy and had laser done first (5 sessions)and electrolysis later with about 12-15 hours worth now. All of the original course hair is now completely gone and I’m probably in the “touch up” phase now.

That said, I’m somewhat OCD and I do have my electrologist hunting down everything except the finest hairs. I did the male equivalent of what you want. Pubic mound, shaft, sack, the area between the legs and around the anus.

And you can probably guess I’m as happy as ozzy is.

Thank you all so much for the advice, support, and info! I am so happy I found this hair tell forum. I already feel so much better and more confident about what I want and how I will achieve it! Ozzy and camaro, what type of laser did you end up using? I am very pale with dark hair.

Mine was Lightshear. I have type 4 skin and HAD:-D course black hair. Worked ok on the mons where the skin was paler, but lower down the tech couldn’t increase the power enough where it could be the most effective and not burn the skin, so the laser wasn’t as effective there. It is possible you may face the same problem on your labia minora and around the anus.

Arader, you sound like a perfect laser candidate to me. Mine was a gentlelase.

So recommended course is start with laser and then finish with electrolysis to get the best results and (ideally) avoid any possible side risks (pitting, scarring, hyper pigmentation, etc.)?
