Other than finding an epilator on Ebay, I was wondering if there were any other options regarding purchasing a professional epilator machine strictly for home use. I wanted to order one through a supply company, but cannot due to licensing regulations. I have studied and read The Blend Method by Michael Bono and have recently purchased Electrolysis, Thermolysis and The Blend by A.R. Hinkel. I also have a video on the blend method and a video on how to perform the proper insertions and techniques. I would appreciate any help or advice anyone can give me. Thank you.
Unless you know someone personally willing to sell you a machine in person, Ebay is your best bet if you don’t have credentials, that’s why we tell you to go there. The supply companies don’t want the added liability of selling to you.
What are the names of the videos? I just received my Bono book and am reading it now, but I’d love to get a video that demonstrates proper insertions etc.
What supply companies did you contact (maybe Texas Electro Supply?) I live in a completely unregulated state (as many here know too well ) but I was worried some would give me a hard time or still refuse to sell to me.
As stated above, they will not sell you a machine, but they will sell you supplies and books and videos.
Although the videos are good, nothing beats hands on instruction and feedback from someone who knows how to do it.
Dear VickieCNY,
I purchased the videos through Prestige Electrolysis Supply, Inc., and that is also the company that I tried to purchase the epilator from. I have The Blend Method video, they also have videos on Thermolysis and Galvanic methods. The other video is How To Make Perfect Insertions by the Sterex Corp. They have a good selection of books also.
Don’t forget the one titled, “Complications, Side Effects & Tissue Injury” video. I think it is a valuable resource as well. All the educational videos mentioned come in DVD, VHS or PAL and range in price from $40-$45 dollars. Length of time is one hour. By the way, I have an extra “Blend Electrolysis Video” in VHS form if anyone would like to purchase it. I ordered two by mistake and Prestige would not allow me to return it because my thirty days had expired. Private message me if anyone is interested.
Just to give credit where due, all these educational video’s, except the Sterex one, are produced by the Electrolysis Research Institute and are authored by a dermatologist, James E. Shuster. They are wonderful, but plan to have a stong cup 'O joe next to you, as Dr. Shuster’s voice is very, very soothing and you may fall asleep.
